Broadway Bares XX - STRIP-OPOLY
Production Photographer: Ryan Mueller

BROADWAY BARES XX: “STRIP-OPOLY” made history by raising $1,015,985 to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. This marks the first time in BROADWAY BARES history that the $1 million dollar mark was reached, a goal that had been set this January by BARES creator and executive producer, Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell. This year’s total shatters the previous fundraising record which was set in 2008 when $874,000 was raised. The first BROADWAY BARES, in 1992, featured seven dancers stripping on a bar and raised more than $8,000. To date, the 20 editions of BROADWAY BARES have raised more than $7.5 million for BC/EFA.

The African Children’s Choir
Journey of Hope
Winter - Spring 2008

Producer, Lighting Designer & Photographer: Ryan Mueller

Following the brutal reign of Idi Amin in Uganda, during which hundreds of thousands of children were orphaned and left starving to death, the African Children’s Choir™ was born.

In fact it was the singing of one small child that inspired the founder Ray Barnett and his team of volunteers to recruit the first African Children’s Choir™ from amongst these desperate children. Their mission was and still is to show the world that Africa’s most needy and vulnerable children have beauty, dignity and unlimited ability.

Moonchild
Production Photographer: Ryan Mueller

Inspired by Hindu, North African and Gypsy moon myths, MOONCHILD tells the story of a woman whose desire for love is so great, it summons the moon, awakens the oceans and changes the course of humanity forever.  Soon she discovers the sacrifice made may be too much for her to bear. In a landscape of tricksters and superstition, of vows and prophecies, the voices of the past ask us to question our dreams ¾to ask ourselves how far we would go in search of true love.
