Catholica Book II
Lighting & Scenic Design: Ryan Mueller

Conceived and Directed by Ruben Polendo
Performed and Created by Theater Mitu
The piece was created by meditating on the Catechism and its prescribed and implied roles for women. Catholica delves into the complicated and often frightening relationships prescribed by the Catholic Church---the relationship between woman and God; woman and man; and ultimately women and woman.

but above all without a plan. . .
Lighting Design: Ryan Mueller

Written by Ruben Polendo and Scott Spahr
Directed by Ruben Polendo
A collaborative deconstruction, this piece merges the letters of Anton Chekhov with some of his shorter plays and stories. Many of the works that inspired But Above All… reveal Chekhov's disdain for the state of theater and the world in which he lived; they explore his frustrations at being forced to write things he didn't believe in, so as to be allowed to write what he truly wanted.
